FAQS
-
Handtied extensions actually refers to the hair used during an extension install - often called a weft. A weft is a collection of hair that is sewn on to their own base or thread. They are some of the thinnest in the extension world which helps keep them light and undetectable. I then use multiple wefts on a hidden, beaded row foundation to allow for maximum comfort and flexibility.

Depending on what your goal is, ideally past shoulders. If you are looking to add just thickness, length should be between chin and shoulders.
-
The rule of thumb is one row adds thickness and volume and minimal length. Two rows will usually get you 3-5” of length pending your own natural density.

After a virtual consultation, I’ll have many hair options to work with on the day of your appointment. We will custom color and fine tune your own natural hair, and then customize your extension install giving you your hair dreams.

After many classes and certifications, I’ve learned that it is not a one size fits all, and not all methods work for every head and hair type. I love being able to take all the knowledge and experience I’ve gained and customize it to what works for you. But don’t worry, it will be seamless, undetectable, hidden, and comfortable.

No. I only use hair that I have purchased from companies that I trust. This is the only way I can guarantee my work.
-
Upkeep is extremely important for the integrity of your own hair and scalp. You will need a moveup every 6-10 weeks pending how well you care for it at home and how fast your hair grows.
-
You can absolutely work out with them. I suggest wearing in a top knot, low pony, or braids to keep them out of the way. Make sure to brush afterwards and blow dry top of wefts if hair is wet from sweat.
-
I do not recommend swimming with extensions. If you do decide to swim with extensions, i recommend two tights braids to keep them from getting tangled and matted. Be sure to wash out thoroughly and dry the tops of the wefts. Salt water can cause discoloration in hair extensions.

Yes! Just be aware of your corners and make sure they aren’t being pulled or causing tensions.
-
With any type of hair extensions, there is always a risk of damage. However, with a proper install and proper at home care, they should not cause damage. However, this also also communication is key! If means anything feels tight, pinchy, or just off, to speak up so I can adjust as needed. Communication is key for a proper install, and your scalp and hair health is my priority.
-
Extensions are real, human hair, and can be washed and styled as such. You will need to brush a little more frequently, separate rows when washing/drying/styling and use proper salon grade products.
-
Extensions are a luxury service and the price will reflect that. Due to the varying factors, it’s really hard to give a solid quote. Take a look under my extensions services for a generalized breakdown of cost, or I recommend filling out the consultation form so I can give a more personalized quote there.

Whenever your own hair truly needs it. The average extensions wearer probably washes ab once a week. And some will just do a top wash in between. This is just sectioning and washing the top of your own natural hair and styling it back in with the extensions.

An initial extension appointment generally ranges from 4-7 hours depending on the color needed and how many rows you are getting.
